The following demonstration videos show the tests in action, so you'll know what to expect on the day.

Tactile Vibrometer

The Tactile Vibrometer tests sensitivity to vibrations. The finger is placed on a vibrating peg, and a responsive button is held down whenever the the vibrations can be felt. The test is repeated on different fingers.

Thermal Aesthesiometer

The Thermal Aesthesiometer tests sensitivity to temperature. The finger is held on a metal plate, which gradually increases in temperature. When the heat can be felt the responsive button is pressed once. It is the repeated with the plate getting colder, rather than hotter. The test is repeated on different fingers.

Finger Rewarming

The Finger rewarming test determines impairement to blood supply, by measuing how quickly the hands warm up after being held in water at 15°C.
